- More details and renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s rumored S Pen have leaked.
- The images showcase a stylus similar in design to the Galaxy Tab S7 S Pen.
- It will reportedly retail for under $50 and will be sold as an optional accessory.
There’s been plenty of chatter about the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s possible support for the S Pen stylus. Recently, we received confirmation of this through an FCC listing. Now, our first look at the purported digital pen comes courtesy of WinFuture.
The publication posted renders and details of the accessory set to be an optional extra for those investing in a Galaxy S21 Ultra. But if you were expecting a stylus similar in style to the Galaxy Note series, you’ll be disappointed.
Aesthetically, the S Pen is more like the Galaxy Tab S7 series’ accessory. There’s no slot in the S21 Ultra to store it, either. Instead, Samsung will reportedly offer users a cover that will host a storage slot for the stylus. This could make the potentially large phone an even bulkier prospect.
As for functionality, the Galaxy S21 Ultra stylus isn’t too different from its Note counterpart. While it lacks the top clicking mechanism, it does include a side button. Users can still employ the stylus as a remote for the camera or video playback, or during presentations.

The S Pen will also remain an active stylus interacting with a digitizer beneath the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s display. It’s unclear how the stylus will be charged, or if this stylus is designed to work with other Samsung devices. If so, it may be possible that Galaxy Tab S7 owners could use a single stylus across the two devices.
WinFuture suggests the stylus will retail for under €40 ($49). Considering Samsung once sold a 45W charger at a similar price, this doesn’t seem too steep an investment.
Expect to hear more about the S Pen and the entire Galaxy S21 range come January 14 at Samsung’s early Unpacked event.
