Here’s when you can expect the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro to launch

OnePlus 8 Leaked Render Back and FrontCashKaro

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have already leaked in renders. The latter of the two even has a hands-on video doing the rounds. We’ve also heard some compelling rumors about the mid-range OnePlus 8 Lite. However, the launch time frame of the new phones has remained a mystery, with some industry watchers predicting an MWC 2020 reveal.

Now, tipster Ishan Agarwal has tweeted that the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will be launching earlier than expected this year. Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7 in May. Agarwal says we can expect at least two phones in the 8 series to launch somewhere around late March or April.

What about the OnePlus 8 Lite then? Well, there’s still room for OnePlus to announce the rumored mid-ranger at MWC 2020. However, the company doesn’t really have a history of launching phones at MWC. Last February, it got its first 5G phone to MWC, but kept it under wraps until it finally released it as the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G in May.

It’s possible that the company will do something similar this year — give us a taste of what to expect and then launch it later.

On another note, Agarwal mentions that we’ll see a new green color for both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro this year. The new colorway will be a welcome addition to the bunch of blues and blacks that the company offers on its current lineup.
