This could be our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra Render

  • Renders of the Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra have leaked.
  • They show a phone with a huge camera bump and a quad-camera setup.

We recently heard a rumor that Samsung’s next set of flagships could arrive earlier than usual. It seems that also stands true for their leaks. After outing renders of the Samsung Galaxy S30 (or whatever Samsung decides to call it), tipster OnLeaks aka Steve Hemmerstoffer has also leaked renders for the Galaxy S30 Ultra.

The design of the Ultra model seems almost identical to the vanilla S30, albeit with a few differences. You’ll immediately notice that the rear camera housing is much larger. Hemmerstoffer claims that it’s almost double the size of the Galaxy S30 and contains a total of four camera sensors. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know the camera configuration but points to recent rumors that suggest the phone could feature two zoom lenses as well as wide and ultra-wide sensors.

Looking at the image above, you might think that the rear cameras sit flush with the phone’s body. However, a side profile of the device shows the camera bump for what it really is (see images below). So even though Samsung has changed the placement of the housing a bit, it still might remain quite chunky.

The overall footprint of the phone measures 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm. That’s almost the same as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The display too retains the centered punch hole and is said to measure between 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. Again, something as tall as what you get with the current top-of-the-line Galaxy S flagship. The tipster claims that unlike the Galaxy S30’s flat screen, the display of the Galaxy S30 Ultra is slightly curved on the edges.

Elsewhere, you see volume and power keys on the phone’s right edge and a USB-C port at the bottom. Hemmerstoffer confirms that there is no place to slot an S-Pen on the phone but doesn’t quite rule out the possibility of it supporting one.

That’s all the information that this latest leak presents. You can expect to see a lot more in the coming days as the launch of the series inches closer.
