What is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
This is a monthly subscription service made for Xbox owners, along with PC gamers with Windows 10 installed. It even has benefits for Android gamers. Let’s go over each feature right now.
Feature 1: All the things from Xbox Game Pass
The first thing this service has is all the features of the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription. That means you can download and play over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One and the upcoming Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. The list of games includes all the titles from Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studio titles the day they are first released. Subscribers also get special discounts and deals. Normally, Xbox Game Pass on its own costs $9.99 a month.

Feature 2: Xbox Game Pass for PC included
In addition, the service also includes Xbox Game Pass for PC. It offers Windows 10 gamers a way to download and play over 100 full PC games. Again, any new Xbox Game Studio title for PC will be available on the service the day they release it. Xbox Game Pass for PC by itself costs $9.99 a month.
Feature 3: Cloud gaming for Android (Project xCloud)
In addition, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the only way to get Microsoft’s new Cloud Gaming feature for Android smartphones and tablets. EA and Microsoft have recently announced that EA Play will be included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundle for no additional cost. That feature is now available for Xbox console owners. Some EA Play games will also be available on Microsoft’s cloud gaming service for Android devices. On December 15, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members will be able to access EA Play games on Windows 10 PCs.
How much does it cost?
As we mentioned, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $14.99 a month. Because it combines Xbox Game Pass, Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold, that means you are saving about $15 a month when you get Ultimate, versus paying for each service on its own. Plus, there’s the cloud gaming feature which is only available as an Ultimate subscriber. Finally, adding EA Play has added even more value to the service.

Do I get to keep all of the games if I stop using the service?
No. Once you stop your subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, all of the games available on the service are no longer available to you. That includes games you have downloaded to your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC. If you bought DLC items for any game you accessed via the service, they still belong to you. However, you can not use them unless you actually pay for the games.
Do games leave Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
Yes. While Microsoft constantly adds new games to the service, it also removes others on a regular basis. You can keep up with the current list of Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC games on the official Xbox Game Pass web site.
Is there a mobile app for the service?
Yes. The Xbox Game Pass mobile app for Android and iOS allows both regular and Ultimate subscribers to keep track of their games. You will also get notifications when new games go live on the service. You can even use the app to order your Xbox One console to download the game if you are not at home. This will allow you to start playing the game when you get back to your house.
