It’s a slow start to the new year for our beloved streaming services. After the holiday bonanza, we’re seeing very few new movie trailers and TV show teasers. Nevertheless, 2021 is just getting started, and we’re sure there’s a lot more in store. This week, we’ve got five new trailers of some pretty interesting stuff headed for imminent release.

Outside The Wire
Anthony Mackie is an Android officer leading a drone pilot (Damson Idris) into a deadly militarized zone. They need to fetch a doomsday device before it falls into the wrong hands. The high-octane movie trailer definitely has us excited for this sci-fi title. We just hope the book matches the cover.
Locked Down
Not all COVID lockdown stories have to be dreadful. This new movie trailer for HBO Max’s upcoming original wants to tell us just that. Starring Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the film follows the story of a couple living in a “psychological prison of burning aloneness,” thanks to the infamous mandatory lockdown. On the verge of a breakup, the duo’s lives take an adventurous turn when they decide to steal a £3 million diamond from Harrods. The heist in on! Take a look.
One Night In Miami
We’ve been talking about One Night In Miami for a few months now. Amazon Prime Video gave us a new movie trailer this week, teasing the Regina King directorial debut. We get to see more of Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), Muhammad Ali (Eli Goree), Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge), and Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.) in this latest clip. Once again, the legendary quad squad is getting together for an evening of repartee in a hotel room. We like the vibe, but enough with the teasers. It’s about time we see the full picture.
The Sister
Now here’s a chilling suspense thriller worth looking forward to. The Sister is an upcoming Hulu original that tells a twisted tale. A man kills a girl, hides her body, and then marries her sister until the ghost of his dark deeds comes back to haunt him. The clock is ticking, and he must do everything to prevent the truth from coming to light. Will his cover be blown? We’ll find out when all episodes release on January 22.
WandaVision
The final new trailer this week is a look at some new footage from the upcoming Marvel blockbuster WandaVision. The latest clip tells us that each episode of the Disney Plus superhero show will have a different theme song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the brilliant duo behind songs from Frozen.
