As you can see above, OnePlus’ tweet also offers a glimpse at the fitness band. From this image and what we’ve seen in the leaked renders, it seems to closely resemble the Mi Band 5. The activity tracker is also expected to take on Xiaomi’s counterpart in terms of pricing, with tipsters claiming it’ll cost around $40.
OnePlus is calling the band “the new face of fitness” and is also teasing smart sleep tracking features on it. Other expected attributes of the OnePlus Band include an AMOLED display, multi-day battery life, and water resistance. The company could also launch a new app to go with the tracker.
It looks like OnePlus wants to start at the lower end of the wearables market before releasing a more premium device. The company has already confirmed that it’s also making a smartwatch that’ll land early this year. You can read more about the OnePlus Watch here.
Meanwhile, you can now sign-up for a contest to win the OnePlus Band on the company’s website. We’ll keep you posted about the device as and when we get more information.
