Nubia, the sub-brand of China’s ZTE, has finally announced the launch of its maiden gaming smartphone, the Red Magic, in India.
The device packs a rather unique, angled rear, featuring a single 24MP f/1.7 main camera and tapered edges. And to amplify the gaming smartphone pitch, of course, there’s a customizable LED strip on the back. There’s also a hardware switch, dubbed GameBoost, which enables a performance mode.
The Red Magic is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 835 processor instead of the new Snapdragon 845. At the time of its unveil earlier this year, the company claimed that it was the best available chipset that could sustain performance without throttling, although I’m not sure of that. It sports a 6-inch full HD+ screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and thankfully, there’s no notch.
